If you're craving Banh Cuon, you need to give Tay Ho a try! I ordered their Pork & Mushroom set on a delivery app. When it delivered, I was genuinely surprised with their packaging. The packaging had a great aesthetic and provided a brief description of Banh Cuon. They put a lot of thought into their design and it speaks for itself. The food tray had good components to hold each food items in, which also held the sauce well. There was a generous amount of food and fish sauce. The only thing that was disappointing was there was no provided utensils.

OVERALL : Been meaning to come here for a while and so glad that I did! Their packaging is stellar -- super clean and takeout friendly. This is great bc their storefront is small with only a few tables, so most seem to get their food togo. Portion sizes were perfect for me and I loved how they had a good drink selection too (teas, coffee, lemonade) + some Vietnamese desserts in the cold case. The self order kiosk was super easy to use, but the staff were there to help if needed. PARKING : - There's a small shared parking lot, but it can be tight if coming during peak hours FOOD/DRINKS : - Tay Ho Banh Cuon Set - their main item, good to try if you're new to their menu! There was some meat filled rice crepe rolls, and some regular non-filled ones too. The meat was a little on the drier side but the dipping sauce def helped! Crepes themselves were great and I enjoyed the variety of other little sides like egg roll, fritter, nem, and cha lua - Classic Crepe Set - my fav! the banh uot was thin and soft but not mushy. They didn't stick together into a blob even after the drive back home. Went so well w the dipping sauce (which wasn't spicy btw!) and veggies - Garlic Noodles w/ Steak - filet mignon cubes were tender and went well w the noodles, I wish there was more steak though! - Pandan Viet Iced Coffee - the Pandan flavor was strong enough to not get overpowered by the coffee - Taro Milk - real taro!

This establishment deserves a higher rating than 4.1 stars. I've been wanting to try this place for the longest. I got the Banh Xeo and for an additional $8, you can add another one to the order. It's perfect because one Banh Xeo is never enough for me. It's mainly togo but with 4 chairs for indoors dining. The cashier was very nice. I love their packaging. It's so aesthetically pleasing and I love the heavy duty bag they provide. I will definitely be back to try all their other dishes.... Like very soon. On a side note, the Banh xeo was wayyyyyy over cooked. It was borderline stale. I still ate it though and the house dipping sauce was good. Maybe I just got a bad order this time around

I'm pretty sure this place doesn't need another glowing review but just in case. Tay Ho was a place on Bolsa in Little Saigon where my Dad took me for the first time while he was going through chemo. They serve steamed rice crepes plain or sometimes filled with ground pork and finely chopped onion and wood-ear mushrooms. The dipping sauce is a fish sauce - sugar - white vinegar mix and their spicy one uses Thai bird's eye chilis which is more than fine by me. The combo comes with lightly blanched, still crunchy bean sprouts (which I prefer since raw ones taste like dishwater to me), mint or cilantro, and raw thinly sliced julienned cucumber. The other meat component is cha lua - a kind of pork roll, thinly sliced; they have two kinds, one that is plain and the other with an outer coating of cinnamon. The things I omit are the banh xeo-style fried shrimp and yam fritters and the fried shallots. This is a very clean yet hearty way to eat and I consider it Viet soul food because it's great for the Spring and summer months when pho soup won't cool you down. So I was really happy to learn that I moved to a section L.A. where I could order delivery from this place. It was so fresh and tasty, I order it at least once a week and their reusable orange bags are very eye-catching. The delivery is very reliable and quick and the quality of the food is only matched by the way they design the packaging of it. Like it's a luxury meal to go even for such a humble Viet dish. If you want to try a food that's different from the usual noodle soups and banh mi sandwiches, spring rolls and summer rolls, you should try this place. It's addictive.
